Overall Ministry Description and How it Relates to Hope’s Mission Statement: The purpose of Children’s Ministry is to teach God’s Word in an applicable way, minister to the children so that they will be spiritually and emotionally healthy through the power of Jesus Christ, and equip them to be active members of His Kingdom on earth.

Ministry Position Summary: Greets the children & parents and distributes the children’s nametags on arrival; wraps up nametag table after the service

• All children’s ministry volunteers must agree to allow a background check

Reporting Structure: Children’s Ministry Personnel Coordinator

Time commitment: Approximately 25 minutes before the Sunday morning service & 10 minutes afterwards

Current Status: 1 serving/ 3 more people needed

General Ministry Responsibilities:

• Set-up the tag table in the hallway with Children’s Ministry information and name tags (note: the actual table & chairs will be set-up by the custodian, the children’s banner and directional signage will be set-up by the worship set-up crew)
• Operates the table from 9:15 am – 9:45 to welcome new and returning families
• Distributes nametags and security tags to parents
• Registers new children
• Must be familiar with the general format of children’s ministry in order to answer questions of new parents
• When possible, introduce the new parents and children to the teachers for that morning
• Puts away all the tag table things in the proper bin after the service
